Small

In comparison to the Dandelion, the Windmill has been made to appear small. this has been made possible with a wide angle lens.

Large

This picture was taken from the aspect of a child. staring upward. Everything appears large when you are young :)

Rounded

Composition and muted colours here working well for me, the snow was a bonus!

Diagonal

Continuing with the Contrasts assignment we have diagonal, not as strong as some of my other images but with deadlines looming, I went with what I had. Although I think that this would have been stronger in black & white.

Continuing with the contrasts theme, I went with this window shot for Dark. From a Windmill shoot, Bars and Barbed wire with darkness beyond.

Juggler

A Break from the assignments post, something abit more personal.
A day in the park and my son is mesmerised by a skillful young juggler which has made for an interesting composition.

This shoot fits the bill for project 18 "relationship between points", you have the Juggler and the watcher with an implied line between the two which draws your eye to the Juggler.

The young chap juggling is apparently rather forgetful (According to his Mum), lucky for him the phone left behind will be returned shortly :)

Rough

The sunlight during this shot has increased the feeling of roughness with the turned earth.

Smooth

Smooth as silk. Lighting was indirect and soft, composition here was aided by the cuff-link falling on a "third"

Narrow

A vertical frame was chosen utilising a wide angle lens to heighten the sense of narrow, this was a wet and miserable day. But another bagged image for the contrasts assignment.

Broad

Broad in this post is a reference to the width of the street and not to the lady strolling through:)
I loved creating this shot as I feel that it is reminiscent of a 1960s street photography style. Taken from a low angle with a 24 mm lens and utilising a horizontal frame has created these great converging lines that lead your eyes to the Lady.

Many Beans

Another image for assignment 1 to display contrasts. This one is titled "many" for obvious reasons, the Beans extend beyond the frame deliberately in this image.

A Few Beans

A first post, an image from "The Art of Photography" assignment 1 to display contrasts. This one is titled "few". there is a nice sense of balance in this image both in colour and composition.
