For the relationship between points we have two Deer, depth of field was kept shallow by use of a large aperture. Here both Deer lie on the upper third. The Deer on the left is looking in the direction of the second Deer so that your eyes naturally rest on the deer on the right which is making eye contact with the observer. Therefore the second Deer is the stronger point in this image. This image fits the bill for the project 18 "relationship between points".
I am amazed this shot even came out! Shot with a canon 100-400mm lens @ 390 on a canon 40D. Light was really low so shooting at 1600 ISO F5.6 but could still only manage 1/30s whilst hand holding, goes to show the effectiveness of image stabilization. Could not shoot further as a car happened to scare the deer away.

Blue Bells
This is another bluebell shot from Sunday, I've had some fun bring out the main flower here with some photoshop work which has added to the feeling of depth in this shot.

Frosty Fungi

Third in our "points post", I present this Fungi covered in frost. In the full size image, the crystals of ice can be made out individually. I've overlayed a black and white version of the image over the colour original which has resulted in this almost monocromatic finished image.
Celandine
Continuing with the course, we have section 3 elements of design. The first project in this section is "defining a point". This will require 6-12 images that are of a "classic" point picture.
This is my first image, a rogue lesser celandine ( member of the buttercup family) hiding in a well tendered flower bed.

Still / Moving
The final shot in the contrasts assignment required that both contrasts were contained in the same image. This I have achieved in the above picture. Shot hand held on a wet day has produced a static lady under a blue umbrella reading a tourist map, the effect of motion in the surrounding people was created by using a very slow 1/4 second shutter speed.
Hard

Metallic chain and sprocket have to be hard to function, this is emphasised by strong directional lighting.

Opaque
The Opaque lamp, the lit wall below then the shadow separates this image nicely into 3 parts.
Discovered an anagram for pictorialise " Poetical Iris" pretty much sums up photography for me :)
Transparent
For transparent, I have chosen this image of Bob the dog. Given an abstract feel by being photographed thro a glass door.
