Its an Art Deco structure with these two nymphs above the main entrance. It looks likely that the building is to be redeveloped into a night club or demolished, everything is still in the air.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_hKL2ojVAnzo/SCocdMZD3UI/AAAAAAAAAN0/LoTwvMermsQ/s1600-h/_MG_5148.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_hKL2ojVAnzo/SCocdMZD3UI/AAAAAAAAAN0/LoTwvMermsQ/s400/_MG_5148.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5200000007620779330" border="0" /></a>The corner of this building made an excellent composition for the diagonals project. Here both Deer lie on the upper third. The Deer on the left is looking in the direction of the second Deer so that your eyes naturally rest on the deer on the right which is making eye contact with the observer. Therefore the second Deer is the stronger point in this image. This image fits the bill for the project 18 "relationship between points".<br /><br />I am amazed this shot even came out! Shot with a canon 100-400mm lens @ 390 on a canon 40D. Light was really low so shooting at 1600 ISO F5.6 but could still only manage 1/30s whilst hand holding, goes to show the effectiveness of image stabilization. Could not shoot further as a car happened to scare the deer away.Ianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04077810116342123306noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2407583920317098180.post-15169981493042954842008-05-02T18:41:00.006+01:002008-05-03T10:49:18.802+01:002008-05-03T10:49:18.802+01:00Moth Orchid<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_hKL2ojVAnzo/SBtWFjWm_KI/AAAAAAAAAKE/68jGm7vqa80/s1600-h/_MG_2712.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_hKL2ojVAnzo/SBtWFjWm_KI/AAAAAAAAAKE/68jGm7vqa80/s400/_MG_2712.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5195841248491404450" border="0" /></a><br />Another one for the points project, here we have a Moth Orchid. The first project in this section is "defining a point". This will require 6-12 images that are of a "classic" point picture.<br /><br />This is my first image, a rogue lesser celandine ( member of the buttercup family) hiding in a well tendered flower bed.Ianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04077810116342123306noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2407583920317098180.post-30682758742663075622008-04-29T23:55:00.002+01:002008-04-29T23:58:46.449+01:002008-04-29T23:58:46.449+01:00Blue Bells<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_hKL2ojVAnzo/SBennTWm_BI/AAAAAAAAAHA/Kn1g2JbMsms/s1600-h/_MG_5071.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_hKL2ojVAnzo/SBennTWm_BI/AAAAAAAAAHA/Kn1g2JbMsms/s400/_MG_5071.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5194804988846996498" border="0" /></a>A shot from the weekend, nothing like bluebells in the woods.Ianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04077810116342123306noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2407583920317098180.post-67049188953995760162008-04-28T00:10:00.003+01:002008-04-28T00:14:47.886+01:002008-04-28T00:14:47.886+01:00Still / Moving<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_hKL2ojVAnzo/SBUH5TWm_AI/AAAAAAAAAG4/HRxWWWZ1pvQ/s1600-h/1_STILL-MOVING_cheltenham_street-_MG_2467.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_hKL2ojVAnzo/SBUH5TWm_AI/AAAAAAAAAG4/HRxWWWZ1pvQ/s400/1_STILL-MOVING_cheltenham_street-_MG_2467.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5194066426270776322" border="0" /></a>The final shot in the contrasts assignment required that both contrasts were contained in the same image.
