Leaf

Quite a contrasty shot to show of the diagonal veins on this leaf.

Sticky-willy

Lots of other names for this barbed covered plant such as Everlasting Friendship, Goose Grass and Kiss Curls to name a few. Chosen this plant for the diagonals project for obvious reasons.

Odeon Cinema, Cheltenham

The Odeon Cinema in Cheltenham was closed in September 2006 due to competition from a new multiplex and since has been standing empty. Its an Art Deco structure with these two nymphs above the main entrance. It looks likely that the building is to be redeveloped into a night club or demolished, everything is still in the air.

The corner of this building made an excellent composition for the diagonals project. The strong directional lighting has aided here, additionally the corner lies on a third.

More info on the cinema available here...
